Stewardship

In order for Saint Thomas' to continue to provide the kind of services for its parishioners and for the community described in these pages, to maintain our beautiful church and parish buildings, and to support the work of the Church both nationally and internationally, every year we are faced with the inevitable task of having to raise funds. Some of this is done through specific fund-raising events, such as our famous Lobster Roll Day or our fair, normally held in the fall; through fees obtained from renting the hall or from interest from our Endowment Fund. The bulk of our income, however, comes through the generosity of individual members. Every year, in fall, a stewardship drive is held, and pledge cards are sent out to all parishioners.

Returning these pledges quickly means that we can plan a realistic budget for the coming year. Special packets of pledge envelopes are available for parishioners who wish to give on a weekly basis.
